Dr. Petros Danias, Medical Affairs Director, is a US and Greece board-certified cardiologist and a fellow of both the American College and European Society of Cardiology. He holds a Medical degree (M.D.) and doctorate of philosophy (Ph.D.) from Athens University Medical School and a Master degree (M.M.Sc.) on clinical investigation from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences & Technology. He obtained a fellowship in Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology at the University of Connecticut and sub-specialization in cardiac MRI at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard University in Boston. He is Associate Director of the 2nd Cardiology Clinic and Physician-in-Charge of the hospital’s Cardiac MRI Center at “Hygeia” Hospital in Athens, Greece, Adjunct professor of Medicine at Tufts University Medical School in Boston and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard University Medical School.
Dr. Petros Danias has an extensive clinical research experience and authored more than one hundred original scientific papers and reviews in the medical literature, several book chapters and numerous presentations in local and international conferences and has written a medical handbook on Cardiovascular MRI. His work has currently over 1700 citations in the medical literature.
